About Us

About the Ministry

Families have always been of central importance at “Fountain of Life” Church. Music is a vital part of worship. We view worship and praise as a primary focus of the ministry to our Risen Lord. Along with congregational singing, musicians and singer all lift praises to Almighty God. The Presence of the Lord and the anointed flow of the Holy Spirit are manifested. Lives are changed; needs are met. Christian Education plays an important role in the ministry. We recognize God’s injunction to “Train up a child in the way he should go and he shall not depart from it” (Prov. 22:6) God has thus given us a mandate to train children not only in the facts and information required in this present technological age but also, and more importantly, our children need an impartation of Godly wisdom. Our school is the outward expression of the vision of this church. Christian Life Foundation and other teaching sessions; meet as announced during our Sunday service to equip believers for faithful service. Our Young adults meet on Friday Evenings at 7pm for worship, sharing, fellowship, activities and ministering to the needs of their own peers. Children and toddlers are also given prayerful ministry by teachers on Sundays. Ladies and Men’s meetings as well as other gathering and activities are announced in our Sunday Service. Our church is affiliated with Dr. Jonathan David, the Presiding Apostle of the International Strategic Alliance of Apostolic Churches (ISAAC) Network; a network of governing churches and ministries across the nations.

Our Story

It was in obedience to God that “Fountain of Life Church”, formerly known as East Rand Christian Centre was established debt-free in November 1981 on 8 acres of undeveloped land in Boksburg. This can only be described as a miracle. We were directed by God to build. In the natural, it was ridiculous to build a building without a congregation, but the building was ready to house those who were going to gather unto Him and be known as Christians.

A prophetic word was given in 1982 that further ground would be purchased for training and schooling purposes. This materialized in 1986 with the purchase of the former 16 acres here in Witfield, the former base of Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke which was 4 km from our previous premises. We then moved our administration offices onto the new grounds. Two years later in 1988, we opened a Nursery School as well as a Christian School. We started off with 27 pupils on the Accelerated Christian Education Curriculum and since then the school has grown. We had to extend our school building to be able to accommodate all the children. Once more God provided the finances to build. The year 1995 was a year of great excitement. We were able to sell our old church property which became very valuable over the years. This enabled us once more to build a new church free of debt for which we give God the glory. The church property has been fully developed having on it the church, youth hall, school as well as a residential area consisting of 28 dwellings.
